【已完】T61 QX9300 各种风扇的效果+散热改造讨论
万恶的考试啊!!!!!本人的t61虽然是leokim外第一台装上1066 FSB CPU的T61.......现在却不是第一台装上4核CPU的材料很早就准备好了,
四块CPU,Q9000因为实在是有点渣所以没买

T61主板1
T61主板2,几个月以前就焊好了,所以还是el-sahef 的最初版本
控制变量:
1. 运行everest extreme edition 30分钟然后截取温度曲线
2. 硅脂是Arctic MX-2
3. 涂抹硅脂方法:中间一点式
4. 风扇全程BIOS控制
5. 室温20度
6. 键盘打开,外壳扒光
Variable Controlling
1. Run Everest extreme edition for 30 mins then screenshot the temperature curves
2. Thermal Grease is Arctic MX-2
3. Methos for applying thermal grease: Central dot then pressing down
4. Fan controlled by BIOS throughout the process
5. Room temperature 20 degree Celcius
6. Keyboard opens, as I don't want to make irreversable change to the W500 heatsinks
T61壳子
In T61 casing
1. QX9300+T61p的风扇,室温20度左右,温度是最低的一个。四核满载不到60度,你信不信?(我反正是不信,为什么会这样呢,原因稍后说明)
1. QX9300 and T61p heatsink, room temperature about 20 degrees
2. QX9300+W500的风扇A,这个风扇的显卡热管稍微有些弯折.....坑爹的美国卖家!!!!收了15镑邮费连包装都不好好包.....
2. QX9300+W500 type A, notice that this heatsink has the graphics heatpipe bend during transportation, might have affected the result
3. QX9300+W500的风扇B,温度比61p的稍微高了那么一丁点
3. QX9300+W500 type B, slightly higher than the T61p's
T60p壳子(为什么要测试两套壳子稍后会说明)
In the T60p casing
1. QX9300+T61p的风扇,
1. QX9300+T61p heatsink, about 63,64
2. QX9300+W500的风扇A,室温20度左右,最后稳定68-70(注:此散热器显卡热管有弯折)
2. QX9300+W500 heatsink A. Final temp 68-70
3. QX9300+W500的风扇B,室温20度左右,最后稳定64-66
3. QX9300+W500 heatsink B, 64-66
4. 对照用:QX9300+T60p的风扇,室温20度左右,最后稳定80度,比3.7Ghz的X9100要友好很多:D 但是一旦穿上衣服装上键盘估计就奔着90度去了

结论:
Conclusions:
1. 虽然T61内部空间比T60p的要小,但是散热并不比T60p差,因为T61的散热窗可以透风的面积比T60p的要大
Although T61 is smaller than T60p in size, the cooling isn't worse, mainly because T61 has significantly larger area for airflow (my estimate about 30%)

2.按照模具契合度来打分,5分为满分的话:
In terms of compatibility with the cases, on a scale of 1-5,5 is full mark
在T61的模具上:
T61p的风扇: 5
W500风扇A: 3
W500风扇B: 3
On T61 case,
T61p heatsink: 5
W500 heatsink A: 3
W500 heatsink B: 3
在T60p的模具上:
T61p的风扇:2
W500风扇A:3.5
W500风扇A:3.5
On T60p case:
T61p heatsink: 2
W500 heatsink: 3.5
W500 heatsink: 3.5
若是在T61上安装W500的风扇,难点在于控制北桥散热器的高度,本人建议用一块不少于2.5mm厚的硅胶垫(注意是硅胶垫)配合W500的CPU压片42X4779以及T61的42R9984(或者外形一样但是FRU不同的压片)
if you want to install W500 heatsink, the difficulty is the height of northbridge, I'd recommend a thermal pad of at least 2.5mm (please avoid metal pads), W500 heatsink mounting 42X4779 and T61's 42R9984
而T60p上用T61p的风扇就非常蛋疼了
The reason why I don't recommend using T61p heatsink on T60p is as below
首先,因为T60p右下角少了一个螺丝孔,所以CPU压片只能使用W500的45N5368或是T60p原本的压片,于是就有了以下非常蛋疼的情况
first of all, since T60p lacks a screw hole on the bottom right, The only possible mountings for heatsink would be W500's 45N5368, or T60p's original mountings

图中可见无论是哪个压片都要削掉一大块贴片,虽然说可以像elsahef那样把整个铁块焊下来但是散热的效果就要稍微打点折扣了。
For both mountings you will have to make huge modifications to both mounting and heatsink, and solder the metal part off the heatsink will more or less compromise the cooling
总之,T60p上不推荐T61p的风扇
至于T60p上装W500的风扇,论坛上已经有很多帖子了
There has been a lot of posts regarding W500 heatsinks on T60p so I won't elaborate here
集成显卡机器请注意做好散热器显卡区域的绝缘
If your laptop has the intel graphics, please carefully insulate the heatsink for the graphics area
3. T61p和w500的散热器效果在伯仲之间,如果要改4核的机器是15寸T60p的模具,那么推荐使用W500的风扇
如果是T61的话那么建议T61p的风扇,几乎不需要任何改动
3. T61p and W500 heatsinks have more-or-less-the-same cooling capabilities, if the quad core mod is carried out on a 15" T60p, then I'd recommend W500 heatsink. W500 heatsink also brings the potential for liquid cooling(see my post below)
If the quad core mod is carried out on a 14" T61, then I'd recommend T61p's heatsink, which need no modifications
四核温度这么低,楼主有什么火星科技?
How comes the temperature for quad cores is so low?
事实上并不是火星科技,而是一个很火星的bug
In fact, this is partially due to a bug described here (CPU#2 and CPU#3 operates at lowest frequency)

也就是说,实际上本人的QX9300只跑出了82%的性能,总共的发热也只是相当于一块SP9600加上一块SL9300而已
In other words, my QX9300 is only running at 82% of it's capability (2*2.53Ghz + 2*1.6Ghz), the total thermal output is just equivalent to one SP9600 + one SL9300
而且,在安装好外壳以后,温度起码上升10-15度
And also, the temperature will rise at least 10 degrees after I put the keyboard and casing on

受这个帖子(http://www.ibmnb.com/thread-1225433-1-1.html)启发,本来想试试半导体的,购入了2片TEC 12702 和3片12706。可是.....
尼玛坑爹啊!!!这也太厚了吧..........:-| :-|
The TEC is way too thick to be fitted anywhere on T61, it's physically impossible to find this 3.5mm room inside T61 without damaging the case
作为比较,贴一下T61热管的厚度......
In comparision, the thickness of T61's heatpipe is only 2.4mm
T61内部根本就没有这3mm的空间啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊!!!!!!!!!!!
于是只好放弃.......

这个温度还是TPFAN控制的,BIOS的话估计都上80了!所以我在想是不是t9400的问题,还是扇热歧管的问题了!
