X230 Quad Core Version - 3612QE
本帖最后由 leokim 于 2015-7-11 16:58 编辑One day ago, I have replaced I5-3320M BGA 1023 CPU to I7-3612QE BGA 1023 CPU ( Embedded Version). For stability Test, I have performed Aida64 Extreme Stability Test. Max Temperature is near by 90 Degree.There is no Thermal Problems ( No CPU Throttling. )

There are two kind of Ivy BGA 1023 Quad Core CPU. ( i7-3612QE, i7-3615QE).But X230 can not handle 45W TDP CPU ,becasue of thermal problems.Therefore, i7-3615QE is not suitable for this modification.This cpu is mainly used at Com Express Type 6 card.If you wanna get this cpu,

X230 is a good laptop: two dimms, MSATA, EXPRESS CARD, VGA. And now CPU can upgrade to 4 core. It is difficult to get this cpu,since this cpu is embedded version.In my guess, you can get this cpu at your country without difficulty. It's incredible！
