Linux sound with X62
Hi,Thank you HOPE and others involved to this X62 project. And special thanks for zhangyongtao, who made it possible to get this amazing device for those who live outside of China (at least 20 X62's have been delivered worldwide!). I'm very satisfied with the laptop and it doesn't have any big issues with it (only the small things like fan noise and the weakness of the wifi switch).
I read this thread http://www.ibmnb.com/thread-1712217-1-1.html and I want to get audio working in Linux, but I didn't quite understand how I can get it to work. I have already installed alsa-tools to it, but haven't made any changes to configs etc. Could someone post in English a step-by-step guide to get audio in Linux. International users haven't still found out a fix for it, so your help would be very important.

就是外放喇叭真没声音，插上耳机就有了

I haven’t use any edition of Linux so there may be some mistakes in the translation.the words in the last passage are in “”，others are translated form Chinese.
Add “ /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel.conf “ to change the order of “codec” in “Intel HAD”
Set “ALC662” as the first “card”, means that “/dev/snd/hwC0D0”
# -- X62 Intel HDA order ------
options snd-hda-intel model=auto index=1,0
add “hda-verb” instruction to set the “GPIO” controller ”PAM8403” of “Realtek ALC662” in “/etc/rc.local”
# -- X62 ALC662 GPIO fix ------
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_MASK 0x01
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_DIRECTION 0x01
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_DATA 0x00
Restart your X62。Maybe you need to use “alsamixer” to increase volume
About the weaknessofWIFI switch，you may be careful,so that itmay not easy be damged

I'm using ubuntu myself, headphone audio is working correctly.
Also I created snd-hda-intel.conf to /etc/modprobe.d/ and added this line into it:
options snd-hda-intel model=auto index=1,0
I added this to /etc/rc.local:
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_MASK 0x01
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_DIRECTION 0x01
/usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x01 SET_GPIO_DATA 0x00
Intel PCH does show as a primary sound card now, but still no sound. In alsamixer speaker volume is maxed. What did I missed?
EDIT: Now I got it working, I just had mistyped rc.local parameters! Thank you yf354559030 for better translation - it helped a lot!
