My T70 is now running fine for two weeks. Unfortunately, I now have found two additional issues:
The battery is not charging when the T70 is shut down. Charging works without problems when the T70 is switched on.
And the display brightness regulation stopped working. Fn+Pos1/End changes the setting, but the display does not get brighter or darker. This happens in Windows 10 and in Ubuntu 17.10
Can you please help me? Thank you!

Still, the battery will not charge when the laptop is switched off. Do you have any updates on this problem?
