【原创】TREO600最新版ROM(CNG-V1.16)
昨天晚上升级了TRE0600 ROM 到Treo 600 Updater 1.16 (Cingular). 非常成功.已经是最新版了. 原版是在WINDOWS下操作的升级程序. 我把他提出来了. 把文件直接COPY到卡上安装就可以了.注意:1. 本ROM只用于Treo 600 Cingular,AT&T Wireless 的机器升级.

Benefits of the software update include:
Correct DTMF stop tone added to fix a garbled audio issue involving systems that use DTMF tones for passwords, menu navigation, etc.*
Improved data connectivity to browse the web, send and retrieve email and other applications.
Improved rendering of web pages and graphics in the web browser.
Optional privacy mode for incoming SMS to hide the message content and sender information.
Enhanced audio-quality reliability, and reduced audio distortion.
Ability to enable car kit echo cancellation for better audio performance.
Updated carrier settings for roaming to international networks.
Note: Installer includes two HotSync operations: one to backup your data, and one to restore your data after the update process is completed.
* Added in June 2005: issue details. If you've experienced this issue, please install the update (even if you've installed a previous version). If it has never happened on your smartphone, you don't need to install this update if you've already installed the previous version; the previous update advanced the Software version to Treo600-1.12-CNG on the Phone Info screen.

System Requirements
Treo 600 smartphone on the Cingular network. Former AT&T Wireless customers, use this version instead.
Windows® 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP or Mac OS® X 10.1 - 10.3.3
HotSync® Manager 4.1.0 or greater (Windows), or 4.0 (Mac). This is part of the Palm™ Desktop installation included on your Treo 600 CD. Get the latest Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager.
Treo 600 battery fully charged.
At least 12MB/1,200KB (Mac) or 11MB/11,000KB (Windows) free memory on your Treo 600 (how to tell how much free memory you have). The free memory accommodates the update application on your device; the application will be removed from your device (and the memory freed) when the update is complete.
For Microsoft Outlook® users who use PocketMirror®: PocketMirror version 3.1.2 or later. The installation CD for Treo 600 includes version 3.1.2, or you can download the latest version from Chapura.
Must be installing the update on a computer with which the Treo 600 is synchronized (i.e. a user folder for the Treo exists on the computer).
Must synchronize with your current user name. You may have several user names stored on your desktop computer. Make sure you synchronize with the user name on your Treo 600, or you will appear to lose data.

我的ROM是1。11版

一、准备工作：
1）下载升级所需文件Treo600 CNG Updater1.16。
2）下载解锁所需文件unlockme305.rar。（锁机版的需要，Cingular和AT&T没有锁机的机器就不用了）
二、插上电源开始，开始升级和解锁之旅：
（一）Cingular和AT&T无锁机版：
1）将V1.16updater.prc文件全部同步进SD卡中，推荐用Cardexport来执行。
2）运行卡上的V1.16updater.prc，根据提示操作。完成后机器自动reset，此时机器升级完成。
3）查看电话信息，是不是软件版本已经是：TREO600-1.16-CNG。^_^
（二）锁机版解锁方法：
1）按提示执行即可完成ROM升级后,升级后的Treo600会重新变成锁卡机，无法使用联通移动的卡。
2）将下载的解锁程序unlockme305.rar解压缩，把unlockme305目录中的所有文件COPY到你的SD卡的\Palm\Programs\Launcher目录下。
3）硬启你的Treo600
4）将卡插入Treo600,执行卡上的Firmware Update程序。为防止意外，请将Treo600的外接电源插上。
5）在出現的画面中按屏幕中间的"Update"按鈕，并等候程序执行完成。
6）重启Treo600，解锁成功！ 目前最新的ROM:
Cingular: CNG-V1.16
Orange: ROW-V1.12
理论上orange的机器是不能用这个版本的ROM. 我没有试过.
CNG-V1.16是不锁机的. 我手头的Treo 600是AT&T版的，提示不能升级~~~ 你的版本是哪个的？CNG版的可以。其它的版本没有试过。 我不知道我的600是不是CNG版本？？怎么看啊？ 原帖由 mabin 于 2006-3-31 10:52 发表

you need this updater if you don't have the latest software on your device. Here's how to tell:
1. Press Phone .
2. Press Menu .
3. From the Options menu, select Phone Info.
4. In the Phone Info screen read the numbers after "Software." Look at the number after the "Treo 600-."
5. If your software version number is lower than 1.12 (1.11 for Verizon), this software update is for you. 1.17验证完毕，不支持~~~ 我的是TREO600-1.11-INT
