Whatever you name it, though officially it is named MAK key, here I found online a working key for Windows Server 2008 Enterprise/Standard. It can activate either version including 64-bit counterparts. Yep, all-mighty!

Way to use the key:
You CANNOT use it directly as the installation key!
Just leave it blank when you are asked to enter a key during initial installation. Proceed with the default key WS08 provided.
When you finished the installation, you will be prompt to activate. Of course with the default key from Microsoft for the sake of easing the installation, you cannot get passed.
NOW is the time to change the key to the one listed above. Find icon Computer, give it a right click, select Properties, then click activate, CHANGE YOUR KEY. It should be working.
Better enjoy it sooner than later.
P.S. Maybe I didn’t explain it perfectly. Friends, this is an MAK key for Windows Server 2008, RTM of course. It is not a KMS key that will require an activation server to make it really useful. This is a key that would save all your effort with just one-time activation online or by phone. After that, you can use it as long as you wish.
