Before removing the Palm Rest:


During installation or removal of any hardware, always ensure all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the battery from the system.
Remove the access panel from the system.
Remove the heat sink from the system.
Remove the LED / keyboard screw cover and keyboard from the system.
Remove the hard drive and media bay device from the system.
Remove the grill cover / fingerprint reader from the system.
Remove the LCD assembly from the system.
