Q. What is the user experience of this pilot program? What is different?
A. The current in-market experience to install Windows 8.1 Update notifies customers that the Windows Update is available. Customers see a dialog box and must interact with it to start the download and installation process. Customers in the pilot program are not required to interact with the dialog. Instead, Microsoft honors their decision to participate in automatic updating.   Customers have a choice regarding when they update. Windows RT users may defer the update for up to four hours. In Phase 2, x86 and x64 customers had more options to control when the update experience occurs. In Phase 3, some x86 and x64 customers will have up to three days to defer the update and restart.

Q. Will Windows 8 customers have the option to decline the auto-update if they prefer to remain on Windows 8?
A. All customers will have up to three days to defer the update and restart.

Q. After the operating system (OS) has been updated, can the customer revert back to Windows 8?
A. Customers can revert their computer to Windows 8 via a clean installation and reflashing of the device to the previous OS.  

Q. How long will it take for the computer to complete the update after the customer receives and selects the Restart Prompt?
A. It takes between 30 and 45 minutes from the time the computer restarts to the time the customer can use the computer again. This window of time includes restart time. The length of time also depends on the amount of data to be migrated.

此更新提醒是安装了补丁KB2871389之后才会出现，因此卸载此更新即可，为防止后续系统再次自动更新，可把此更新隐藏

2、选择需要隐藏的更新右击“隐藏更新”即可：


3、若后续想要升级，需要把隐藏的更新还原


更新可以修复很多系统残留BUG，建议及时升级
