各位前辈，小弟近期有个不短的假期，准备进一步提升签名机T61的性能和泛用性。
先来说明一下T61目前的状态：
型号：7663-B16
CPU：T7300 已割脉，主频2.6-2.9G
内存：2*2G DDR2 888外频
主硬盘：intel SSD 330 120G
光驱位硬盘：intel SSD 330 120G
屏幕：1440*900 原配
显卡：NVIDIA NVS 140M
扩展卡：PCMCIA+SD读卡器

目前计划：
1。更换CPU至T9300 [已割脉，预计主频3.33G-3.6G]
2。更换PCMCIA至Expresscard 支持USB3.0以及PE4H（未来计划）
3。购置2503高级扩展底座，上显卡以及第三块硬盘/光驱。


小弟有个关于2503扩展底座的问题，之前看了很多高手的各种外接显卡的改装以及实验帖子，感觉上最致命的问题其实是底座的功率。根据查询回来的参数，底座的电源是大约130W左右的，分两组供电，1/2 给笔记本，1/2给底座。所以难怪上个好一点点的显卡就发生各种问题。有前辈提供资料如下：

经过对2503拆机分析，内置电源总功率约130W，分为两组高频变压器输出，每组一半，约65W，1组给笔记本供电，另一组给底座供电（65W），实际分配到PCI－E的供电能力大约55W，也就是说只能用功率在55W以内的显卡。也有网友指出只能使用ATI显卡，NV的显卡就算功率很小也会不兼容！怀疑是N卡对PCI-E1X的支持不好。加装显卡后的性能会受PCI－E接口（2503 PCI-E实际上是1X的接口）速度限制，只能达到理想状态下的一半或更低性能（128bit相对好一些，64bit损失很大）。加装显卡后必须外接显示器，自身显示器不一定能用，有人能用有人不能用，具体原因不明。

根据以上资料，我现在的设想是：
1。有没有可能直接把底座上的电源改了？直接放一个大功率电源，是不是就直接OK了。选电源自然还是要从本品牌的电源里面找材料。W520的电源是170W的。我大胆猜测一下，如果我们能用W520的电源替换2503内置的电源，分两组供电就是85W左右给了底座，那么是不是一切问题就解决了。
2。找到电源的两组供电输出，把供给给底座的那一组切断，然后拿一个90W的T61电源，切除插头，直接焊上去，这样就变成了底座由90W的外置电源供电，笔记本方面不变，这么一来有一个问题，需要分析电路图，找到开关的位置，争取能做到开关联动同时控制底座和笔记本。否则可能需要先插上外置电源让底座空转，然后迅速开机，还要检查保护电路，防止烧坏板子。

希望高手给与些评估和指导，准备最后再折腾一下自己的T61。求2503电路图或者其他一切资料，毕竟我要到9月18号以后才能拿到2503，所以如果有图纸可以提前研究。

希望得到大家的技术支持。我是打算尝试一下把170W的电源加进2503然后配个好显卡：）

目前两手准备:
1.不折腾底座电源，就直接上ASUS的半高HD6570了，这显卡手头就有。不用买了1G 128位的DDR3现存，估计功耗应该不会超。很多人成功多。
2.折腾电源，加大功率到170W或者外置90W电源给底座，完全解决供电问题，这样的话就找一个能放得进去的最大的显卡。
3.按照方案二折腾电源，购置PE4H（4插头型），外痔显卡，然后从底座PCI-E，以及Expresscard 处获得2X的显卡带宽。这个性能应该很好，但是给DIY一个箱子装显卡，难以做到美观。而且PE4H貌似还不便宜。
4.更加变态的想法，如果3能够实现，那么想办法把T61键盘下面靠近扩展卡的那个PCI-E接口也装上PE4H的设备，达到显卡3X的带宽，难点在于如何把HDMI线从笔记本内部引出来。

9月17号休假，还有短时间研究和思考。

受 x1 pcie的限制,再好的显卡都会大打折扣，还是不要折腾，老实用HD6570就好了，也不用折腾电源，性价比也比较好，目前本人用的就是T61集显T9300，4G，2503，蓝宝HD6570 128bit 1G DDR3刀版(taobao440大元入的）

我现在就在用2503，这个底座的输入功率在200瓦左右，用输入电压乘以输入电流就知道了。底座的pci-e首先带宽是1x的，其次供电最高为50w，这个在硬件维护手册里面有。我现在是14.1的t61p，cpu是9500的，使用没有问题，玩儿各种游戏1920*1200也差不多。至于显卡，我开始用的是5670，供电不够；现在完美使用6570 1gddr3的还行。显卡反正只能用ati的。

新出的机器也没什么值得折腾得,折腾不就是折腾老机器么. 我今天在公司抽屉里翻出来一块Quadro NVS 295. 这东西虽然不是给游戏设计的，但是是不是应该比Quadro NVS 140M（T61内置）的要好很多很多阿。这东东功耗最大才23W.而且没有风扇，自带两个DPport。转接线我也翻出来了。有人知道这东东是什么定位么？

NVS 295在360下的显卡得分是37。。。比T61自带的140M好点有限，140M是20。都属于垃圾卡。。。看来还是买个HD6570好了，不知道DDR5的能不能上

90W是不准确,150W也不到，据可靠消息，实际上总功率实测差不多是130W，分两组供电，每组65，一组是给笔记本本身的，另一组是给底座的，实际分摊到显卡上大约就是50W的样子。

T61一共5个pcie通道
底座，主板上三个，加上expresscard
但是你要合并几个1x带宽有个条件是必须相邻的pcie通道才能合并
pcie port1是wwan卡
port2是wlan卡
port3是主板上没焊接插槽的
port4是expresscard
port5是底座
所以你要合并也只能和expresscard那个pcie通道合并成2x，或者不用wlan合并成4x，3x这种可不可行不知道
另外2503的官方资料也说了pcie曹供电是50w

不知道 T500 和T60上的pcie 是否也是这样布局

按照本友的说法 合并PCI通道 只能选择expresscard了是吧？

不知道直接连接信号线能行否 不必考虑供电吧？
关键还是expresscard外引PCIE信号 后如何与底座的信号合并问题 需要什么电路转换么？

还是直接将信号引线链接即可？

之前有本友折腾过2503 改的只是供电 一直没有动到PCIE通道合并 虽然他也有说 要折腾来着

我要求不高啊 能2X就行 楼主先 试水 偶先观望

关于割脉，楼主不觉得T73很热么。。我用T83默认都觉得温度高。T9300就变成266*12.5＝3.325可能不稳，温度也居高 还得靠rmlock，那不如搞个T81算了 2.8。
此外，有你折腾PE4H的钱，买个T430好不好。。。
我用T61+2503，显卡是X1300.上阿苏四的n卡，6200居然都不能开机。ATI的X550 X1300试过都ok。带宽是PCIE 1x的，2503是用一个90转接板把线路引出来的，要求显卡不能超长，不能超高，显卡末端不能太厚，且散热器最好是测排风（单挡板宽度的棺材卡是不行的。）

2503的光驱位托架实际上也是IDE总线和机器是一样的。

综合起来，感觉T61+2503的性价比的确是不如2504或者换T420。毕竟用到光驱的概率很低，可以买个盒子把光驱变usb。
T400可以用2503，但同样的，没太大意义。

另：2503可以让大多数T61不惧太监门问题，我的T61都太监一年了，带粉色色块，用X1300外接显示器一直挺着呢。

我觉得以后 ThunderBolt口+外置显卡会是王道。

Sounds like that I can extend port3 to the position which is under the express card instead of the PCMCIA's. and then move wlan from port2 to port1, after that extend port2 to the same position as port3's extension.  Finally, 3 of them are in similar postion and the last one is located at advanced dock. That's 4X.....
