Speaking Silence were born in 1993 from anencounter between two Parisian musicians, Carla Picchiantano and AlainGradiere. 'Insides' is their second work (the first one they'veproduced themselves), and it offers sophisticated and romantic popatmospheres. The influence of a certain refined British pop,particularly reminiscent of bands like the Cocteau Twins, is evident inSpeaking Silence's ethereal and dreamy music. The main element is thecrystalline, precious voice of Picchiantano, that Grandiere manages toweave into suggestive musical themes with rich, carefully tendedarrangements.
