X41 SXGA+ + Samsung 64G Sata SSD

Here is my thinkpads X41S ( "S" means Super XGA [ 1400 x 1050 ] , Small CPU Power Consumption, Small weight ]. At the current time, there is a one little bug on bios. But I will resovle this little bug.

How about resolving 2010 error with 51nb?

I will complete  sxga + bios, 51nb users [ Specially, Cayman, He have studied to resolve 2010 errors on thinkpad for a long time. ) will resolve 2010 harddisk error in future to cooperate with each other

Finally , It will be  a perfect project to insert sxga+ lcd screen resolution without bug and remove 2010 harddisk error . what do yout think about that?


PS) Origianl X61  Bios code name for supporting sxga+ is a " Zeus",  x41 bios codename is a " Venus-II" ,  X40 bios code name is a " Venus-I" , X31 bios code name is a " Mars"

About error 2010, can the new bios solve all of followng problems?

- For generic SSD, not only for Samsung models;
- Reduce the self-test time to same level as the case when original hdd has been installed;
- Prevent message of error 2010 from being displayed after self-test process.

BTW, can the new bios be also used in XGA(1024*768) model?

Hey Leo, where is your Samsung 64G Sata SSD? Could you share us with your test result?

As we know, 915 mainboard has sata inerface in it. In 51nb, big-eblis has successfully changed the harddisk interface from IDE to SATA. (For T43) I guess your modification is the same

Several months ago, we had some discussions aboout this, but we considered that 1.8 inch sata SSD is quite expensive and the modification is not easy...

So we choose 1.8 IDE SSD or 1.8 zip SSD (Mtron from Korea is quite good ).

Until to resolve 2010 errors and little bug for supporting sxga+, I will not release a sxga+ bios .

When all the problems will be solved in future, I will release a perfect bios on 51nb.com.

As I comment before,  The resolve 2010 errors is 51nb's share. For developing non-2010 error bios, I will revise a litte bug on x41 sxga+ bios.


( I will insert a slic table and 1802 wifi error jump routine into this bios code, sxga+ bios. )

In cooperation with a lot of people on 51nb.com, I believe that we will remove a 2010 error.

if the bios completes, can I use a sxga+ panel (type: HV121P01-100) on x41 tablet?

Do I need to do any change with this screen or just replace the original one with it directly?
